![]() ![]() That they will get to the rooms after the meeting. She is advised that they are not ready and that the staff has to go attend a mandatory meeting that may last one hour to one and a half hours. After waiting for more than 1 1/2 hours approx.5:15 the wife goes up to the rooms to check on the progress. In the meantime the wife has sent notes to the host (we did not know he was off- he always makes our visit smooth). We tell him it should be about 20 minutes longer. In a few minutes our bellman stopped after taking about his third trip to rooms and ask for an update. I talk to a young lady and she tells me they should be ready in about 30 minutes. I get to the floor and it looks like none of the rooms are ready. I decided to go to the rooms they said were ours. Wondering whats going on because I have seen several other people in wheel chairs going to there rooms. I see the girl that check us in leave ( I guess for the day). Our bellman got the bag for us and ask about our room. At this time we needed my wife's mother's medicine for her 85 year old mother who is diabetic. We step to the side (needless to say we are furious). This is beginning to be a pattern for Golden Nugget. During this time the wife is trying to get in touch with her host (he was off that day). She tells us we need to wait and they will text us when they are ready. She then tells us here's your rooms they are not ready (this was at the 4:00 check in time). We remind her that the host had talked to someone and she proceeds to tell us that the host can not do anything like getting our room choices. She then gets a pompous attitude and proceeds to tell us that they can't honor our request that our rooms are comped. We get to the front desk to check in, reminding the lady of our request and let her know that a host had talked to someone about the rooms. Once again upon arriving the valet and bellman were great. He responded that he got the note and took care of it. During the drive my wife sent a text message to her Casino Host about us coming in. My review for the Nugget in Biloxi is available. Didn't give 5 stars because of the housekeeping issues.Īfter our two nights in Biloxi we headed for the Golden Nugget in Lake Charles, La. Customer service nice, bellman very nice, check in speedy and efficient. I didn't complain about any of these things to management because I was overall very happy with the hotel and room. The bed was ok matters seemed lopsided or maybe it too was too soft. The pillows SUPER SOFT with no support what so ever. Lol The air conditioner blowed ice cold but not for worked but cycled off prior to the room reaching 69 degrees like I set it. ![]() Although housekeeping dropped the ball by leaving less than a quarter roll of toilet paper on the roll with no replacement, hair was on the floor in the bathroom upon our check in and Someone had been shopping at Ross because the tags to her clothing were left the window. Perfect view of the resort style pool and lazy river pool. During the sunny afternoon VERY crowded with young people drinking, sunbathing and finately a hangout spot for the young and not so young. ![]() Modern style and ambiance! The pool is like an oasis on a tropical resort with cabanas, beds and lounges IN the pool. ![]()
